Vinje Industri builds expertise in data center industry
The data center industry is today one of the most important markets for GOT Vinje Industri. Around half of what we sell now goes to this sector. Just a few years ago, this was an entirely new area for us.
Expertise that moves between industries
Around ten years ago, several key employees made the move from the maritime and oil and gas industries to build up our commitment to land-based industry. Since then, we have transferred expertise and experience from one industry to another, and the business has grown steadily.
When the data center industry began to establish itself in the region, we recognized early on that our expertise could be relevant. Over several years we have maintained close dialogue with players in the sector, including Bulk, and identified key areas where our experience can also be applied in data centers.
It is precisely this ability to move knowledge between industries that has made the growth possible. Technology and requirements change, but much of the fundamentals; an understanding of safety, operations and demanding technical environments, can be carried across.
For Vinje Industri, it comes down to continuing to do what we have done for nearly ten years: moving expertise to where it is needed, and building on it further together with our customers and the rest of the industry.
