We are incredibly proud to announce that GOT has signed a contract to build two new, fireboats for Oslo Fire & Rescue and Rogaland Fire & Rescue!
The NOK 80 million contract, signed today, December 3rd, in Oslo, marks a significant step in boosting maritime emergency response capabilities in the Oslo Fjord and along the Rogaland coast.
Key highlights of the new vessels:
Enhanced Response: Designed for faster and more efficient response to fires, accidents, and acute incidents in harbors and coastal areas.
All-Weather Platform: Developed from the ground up for fire and rescue operations, ensuring high stability and robust capacity for year-round operation under demanding Norwegian conditions.
Crucial Supplement: The boats will serve as a vital extension to land-based forces, securing critical infrastructure like shipping lanes, industrial areas, and port facilities.

"This project shows that sea-based emergency preparedness is vital for overall safety. These vessels provide new opportunities for rapid response, safe, and effective action in challenging situations," says Øystein Sunde Pedersen, CEO of GOT.
A robust year-round platform
The fireboats are designed from the ground up for fire and rescue operations. The platform is optimized for year-round operation in challenging Norwegian conditions, offering high stability and strong operational capacity.
“Our new design provides a solid foundation for modern fire and rescue operations. The platform combines performance, flexibility, and safety in a way that meets the demands of year-round operations in Norway,” says André Rustad, Managing Director of GOT Marine.
