GOT is a proud sponsor of “Rent Hav Lindesnes” which is a project by Mandal Dykkerklubb.

The project started in 2020 with support by the Norwegian Environment Agency and will continue until the end of 2022.

The main purpose of this project is to recycle and remove plastic waste and other waste that is environmentally harmful from the Ocean. It is planned 100 clean-up operations and the goal is to totally remove 100 tons of waste. The effort put into the project is estimated to about 8 000 hours, all of them based on volunteers.

There have been 66 Clean-up operations until now removing 56,6 tons of plastic waste, including 2300 tires (from trucks and light vehicles) and 1000 units of fishing gear.

The volunteers have so far spent about 2500 hours in 2021. We whish them all the best of luck and a big thanks for taking concrete actions in caring for the environment.
