RS-178 Is in the Water

After wind, waiting, and three attempts: Norway's largest rescue vessel is finally launched!

Seeing RS-178 in the water for the first time is a moment we won't forget. What started as lines on paper and hours of planning has taken shape into something extraordinary, the largest rescue vessel in Norway's history, built right here at our yard in Mandal.

This project is the result of true collaboration. Skilled people across disciplines have poured their expertise into every detail, working alongside dedicated partners to bring RS-178 to life. It's a testament to what can be achieved when the right people come together around a shared goal.

We're still focused on finalizing the last elements before handover. But the launch marks a major step forward, and we're proud of the progress made so far.
