Both companies are based on Gismerøya in Mandal, where they form part of a unique and long-established maritime cluster. Building on Umoe Mandal’s leading expertise in advanced composite structures and its strong foothold in the defense sector, combined with GOT’s well-established specialization in aluminum vessels, the partnership enhances an already robust professional environment enriched by shared geography, tradition, and experience. The agreement enables increased total production capacity and more effective utilization of the companies’ complementary competencies, infrastructure, and technologies.

“We have enjoyed a strong working relationship with Umoe Mandal for some time, and by formalizing this collaboration we reinforce each other’s opportunities in the market. As close neighbors with complementary capabilities, we represent a unique maritime environment with significant potential for development and growth. This agreement provides increased capacity, better resource utilization, and an even stronger maritime knowledge base, benefiting upcoming projects and the customers we serve,” says Øystein Sunde Pedersen, CEO of GOT.

Through this strategic partnership, Umoe Mandal and GOT position themselves to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in support of future defense initiatives.
